Just As You Are Rainbow Sanctuary is a multi-faith ministry of action, care, and radical belonging for queer souls in Emporia, Kansas — and beyond

We believe that LGBTQ+ people are not just welcome, but sacred. Whether you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, intersex, questioning, or beautifully beyond labels — you belong here.

Our sanctuary was founded because we see a truth the world too often ignores:

Queer people are among the most persecuted in Western society.

And far too many have been hurt in the name of religion.

We exist to help heal that pain.

We are a place of rest, community, and sacred reclamation.

We are here to say clearly:

Queer identities are holy in the eyes of our Creator

You do not have to believe in a particular god to belong here, or any god at all.

We are multi-faith, inclusive, trauma-aware, and led by queer people.

Our ministry is one of action: feeding, comforting, protecting, and celebrating our people.
